Documents
To get to the Customer Request Profile, do the following:
- Find or add a Request: You can search for a specific Request using Find Request or Query Request. You can list all requests using List Request. Or you can add a request using Add Request.
- Click on your desired Request. The Request Profile opens.
Documents Overview
A document can be any file that you upload as supporting information for the customer request.
Example: You can upload Word documents and images.

Adding a Document
There are two ways to add a customer request document:
- Add the document while you are creating the customer request. See Adding Requests.
- Add the document from the Customer Request Profile.
Adding a Document from the Customer Request Profile
- From the Customer Request Profile, go to the tabs a the bottom of the page and click the More tab. A fly-out menu displays next tab choice.
- Click Supporting info on the fly-out menu. The Supporting Info tab displays.
- Click the Add
button on the documents child form. The Add - Request Document window opens. - Add your document. Enter the document file name or click the Browse... button. Alternatively, enter a url for the document.
- Enter a document code. The code can be letters, numbers, or a combination.
- Enter a document summary. This is Optional.
- Enter a document description.
- Select a method for sending the document to the customer under the Send Document Via section. This is optional. Choose one, two, three, or all of the following:
- e-mail?
- fax?
- web link?
- mail?
Viewing a Document
To view a customer request document use the following steps:
- From the Customer Request Profile, go to the tabs a the bottom of the page and click the More tab. A fly-out menu displays next tab choice.
- Click Supporting info on the fly-out menu. The Supporting Info tab displays.
- Click the arrow
button to expand the child form. A list of documents displays. - Click the Document # hyperlink to open the document in a new browser tab.
Editing a Document
- From the Customer Request Profile, go to the tabs a the bottom of the page and click the More tab. A fly-out menu displays next tab choice.
- Click Supporting info on the fly-out menu. The Supporting Info tab displays.
- Click the Arrow
icon to expand the child form. A list of documents displays. - Click the Edit
icon beside the document you want to edit. The Edit - Request Document window opens. - Edit the fields you want to change.
- Edit your document. Enter the new document file name or click the Browse... button. Alternatively, enter a url for the document. When you click save the new document overwrites the old document.
- Edit the document code. The code can be letters, numbers, or a combination.
- Edit the document summary. This is Optional.
- Edit the document description.
- Select a new method for sending the document to the customer under the Send Document Via section. This is optional. Choose one, two, three, or all of the following:
- e-mail?
- fax?
- web link?
- mail?
