Automated SMS Messages
The system sends an automated text message every time an individual Opts In to receive SMS Messages, Opts Out from SMS Messages, or replies 3 from their phone to request help. This article describes the different messages segments that these automated SMS messages include.
Opt In Confirmation Message
The Opt In confirmation message is sent regardless of how opt in is received: eWeb, iWeb or with response of 1 from their phone to opt back in after having opted out. The Opt In Message contains the following segments that can be configured in the SMS Messaging Integration profile. Please refer to the Managing SMS Messaging Integration Settings article for more details.

- Non-Variable Text (Reply 2 to opt out. Reply 3 for help.)

Opt Out Confirmation Message
The Opt Out confirmation message is sent whenever a customer opts out via: eWeb, iWeb, or a response of 2 from their phone. The Opt Out Message contains the following segments that can be configured in the SMS Messaging Integration profile. Please refer to the Managing SMS Messaging Integration Settings article for more details.

- Non-Variable Text (Reply 1 to opt in.)

Help Message
The Help Message is the text that will be sent when a customer responds to a text message with the number 3 from their phone. The Help Message contain the HelpMessage segment that can be configured in the SMS Messaging Integration profile. Please refer to the Managing SMS Messaging Integration Settings article for more details.
Note: The value set in the HelpMessage Integration setting will be sent as Help text/link to customers responding with number 3.

Marketing Messages
SMS Marketing Messages are the text messages that an association/organization sends to its customers as part of its marketing campaigns. The SMS Marketing Message contains the following two segments. For more information on how to schedule a SMS Messages, refer to the Scheduling a SMS Message article.
- SMS Body (entered when creating an SMS Message)
- Non-Variable Text (Reply 2 to opt out. Reply 3 for help.)
