Content Group Procedures

Creating a Content Group

1. Open the Add Content Group form by selecting Overview > List Content Groups from the left navigation menu, and click the add icon in the List Page Action Links.
2. Enter the group name and group order.
3. Complete the remainder of the form as desired.

4. Click Save to create the new Content Group.

   Note: The new Content Group will not display until you add a Group Item and at least one Group Item Link. Then refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary.

Editing a Content Group

1. Open the Edit Content Group form by selecting Overview > List Content Groups from the left navigation menu, and clicking on the Content Group.
2. Make the desired changes.
3. Click Save to save the changes.

4. Refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary.

Soft-deleting a Content Group

1. Open the Edit Content Group form by selecting Overview > List Content Groups from the left navigation menu, and clicking on the Content Group.
2. Select hide/disable record check box.
3. Click Save.

4. Refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary.

Hard-deleting a Content Group

1. Open the Edit Content Group form by selecting Overview > List Content Groups from the left navigation menu, and clicking on the Content Group.
2. Click Delete.
3. Click Save.

4. Refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary.

Recovering a soft-deleted Content Group

You cannot recover a soft-deleted Content Group through the NetForum interface.

1. Use SQL to update the cm_group table to set the cgr_delete_flag to 0 for the desired Content Group.

2. Refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary.

   Note: The recovered Content Group will not display unless it has at least one linked Group Item and that Group Item has at least one Group Item Link.
