Advanced Find Links Procedures

Creating an Advanced Find Link

1. Access the Profile page for the Content Group.

   1. In the Toolkit module, select Overview > List Content Groups from the left navigation menu.
   2. Click on the Content Group record.
2. Add a new Group Item to the Content Group

   1. Click the add button in the group items child form header.
   2. On the Add Group Item form, the group will default to the name of the Content Group record. Enter the item code and item order.
   3. Enter an item description if desired.
   4. Select the hide/disable record check box.
   5. Click Save.
3. Add a Find Group Item Link to the new Group Item.

   1. Click the expand/close button on the group items child form header.
   2. Click the grandchild form for the Group Item.
   3. Click on add group item links.
   4. Complete the Add Group Item Link form for a Find Group Item Link. Remember, do not select the hide/disable record check box.
   5. Click Save.
4. Refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary. The Find Group Item Link should be listed under the More tab.

Converting an existing Group Item to an Advanced Find Link

1. Access the Profile page for the Content Group.

   1. In the Toolkit module, select Overview > List Content Groups from the left navigation menu.
   2. Click on the Content Group record.
2. Access the Edit Group Item form for the Group Item.

   1. Click the expand/close button on the group items child form header.
   2. Click the edit button for the Group Item.
3. Select the hide/disable record flag.
4. Click Save.
5. Display the Group Item Links for the Group Item by clicking on the grandchild form button.
6. If a Find Group Item Link exists and the No Display flag is checked
   1. Click the edit button for the Find Group Item Link.
   2. On the Edit Group Item Link form, clear the hide/disable record flag.
   3. Click Save.
7. If a Find Group Item Link does not exist
   1. Click on add group item links.
   2. Complete the Add Group Item Link form for a Find Group Item Link.
   3. Click Save.
8. Refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary. The Group Item tab should no longer display in the left navigation menu, and the Find Group Item Link should be listed under the More tab.

Removing an Advanced Find Link

1. Access the Profile page for the Content Group.

   1. In the Toolkit module, select Overview > List Content Groups from the left navigation menu.
   2. Click on the Content Group record.

2. Click the expand/close button on the group items child form header.

3. Click the grandchild form button for the Group Item.
4. Click the edit button for the Find Group Item Link.
5. On the Edit Group Item Link form, select the hide/disable record flag.
6. Click Save.
7. Refresh your NetForum session and clear cache if necessary. The Find Group Item Link should not be listed under the More tab and the Group Item should now be a hidden group items child form.
