Adding a State Officials Relationship
A state officials relationship is a relationship between an individual and a state legislator (senator or representative.) State official relationships enable you know which of your members have connections to key Senators and Representatives, and to target them accordingly when you need to "motivate" a legislator.
To add a new state officials relationship, complete the following steps:
- Go to the Individual Profile of the individual who has the relationship you are adding.
- Click the Grassroots tab to view the child forms. If the Grassroots tab is not available, click the More tab and select it from the list of available tabs.
- Click the Add icon located on the state officials relationships child form.The Add - State Officials Relationship Capwiz pop-up window appears.
- Complete the following fields as needed:

| name | No | The name field will auto-populate with the name on the Individual Profile where you are adding the relationship. This field is read-only. |
| representative | Yes | Expand the drop-down list and select the representative with whom the individual has the relationship. This list is populated by the Capwiz integration. |
| relationshiptype | Yes | Expand the drop-down menu and select the type of relationship the individual has with the representative. |
| comments | No | Enter any applicable comments regarding this relationship in the comments field. |
Click the Save button.The newly added relationship appears on the state officials relationships child form.
Tip: Adding state officials relationships requires an integration with Capwiz.
