Important Points to Consider While Working with eWeb Shop For Organization Functionality

The Edit Organization button under the Details section on the Organization Information page is only enabled when an Individual is flagged as "Org Primary Contact?" on the Add/Edit Organization Affiliation form (accessed via the Organization profile) and has the Organization Access and Organization Edit checkbox selected on the Add/Edit Relationship Type form (accessed via the Customer Setup profile).

The Organizations You Manage child form (eWeb > My Profile page) only displays the organization for which the relationship type has the Organization Access checkbox set on the Add/Edit Relationship Type form (accessed via the Customer Setup profile in iWeb).

The + Add New button and the links in the Title columns on the Organization Roster child form will only be enabled if the Organization Access and Organization Edit flags are enabled for the Relationship Type (Individual/Organization).

The View Transactions button on the Organization Information page is only visible when the Shop For Organization flag is set on the Add/Edit Relationship Type form.

When the DefaultEWebBillingCustomertoOrganization is set to true and the Shop For Organization checkbox is not selected on the Add/Edit Relationship Type form (accessed via the Customer Setup profile in iWeb), then the Welcome message will display as ‘signed in as individual and billing purchase to organization’.

When completing a purchase with this setup, the ‘bill to’ will set to organization and the purchase transaction gets completed.

Note: No invoice will be created on an Individual profile when shopping and paying an invoice for organization.

When shopping on behalf of an organization (either shopping as an individual and billing to the organization or shopping as and billing purchases to the organization), the Total Credit Available shown in the Payment Information section of the Shopping Cart | Payment form indicates the credits belonging to the organization, not the personal credits of the user. Note that in eWeb, the credits available for use as a payment option are controlled by the AllowCreditsToBeUsedOn_eWeb system option. The credits can only be utilized as a payment method in eWeb if the system setting is enabled to true.

When shopping on behalf of an organization (either shopping as an individual and billing to the organization or shopping as and billing purchases to the organization), the Saved and Preferred Payment Methods fields on the Shopping Cart | Payment form will display information from an individual's record.

With the system option eWebGroupRegistrationLogic set to Shop for Organization, if an eWeb user has no access to Shop For Organization and attempts to perform group event registration, the system will display the following error message.

'Attention! You cannot perform group registration as you do not have permission to shop for your related organization.'
