NetForum manages three Customer types in the database:

Using these genereic customer types in the Customer Table, simplifies use of several features, primarily in CRM, Events, Membership, Centralized Order Entry, and Billing.

Example: When registering for an event, you may register either an Individual or an Organization. You can sell a product to any of the three customer types.

Adding Records

Use the Add functionality, which is universal throughout NetForum, to add customer records.

Finding Records

The Find and List functionalities are also universal throughout NetForum. Records can be located with a more refined set of criteria using the Query tool within NetForum.

Managing Records

Customer records are managed in a Profile Page.

Technical Information

From the database perspective, an individual, organization and chapter all have a single record in the co_customer table and then one record in the co_individual, co_organization or co_chapter table, respectively. See Customer Data for more.
