The Subscriptions Module enables you to effectively set up and manage all of the Subscription products distributed by your organization, including the Fulfillment of these products.

Subscriptions Setup

Customizing Subscription Options and BPA Data for your Organization

NetForum uses drop-down lists for easy data entry. You will need to set up the lists with information specific to the kinds of organizations and subscriptions you will use (e.g., you may decide to track BPA data and will need to modify that data as befits your organization).

BOLD text always indicates that the field is REQUIRED data.

You can add, edit, or delete data from the Subscription Setup pages just as you would from any NetForum child form. However, once a data element is used on a profile page or form, it can only be disabled or hidden but not deleted.

Access Subscription Setup through the Subscription Setup page link.

Subscription Workflow

The following is the recommended order of tasks in setting up and managing your Subscriptions and Subscribers in NetForum:

  1. Add your Subscription. Your first step will be to create your Subscription with specific decisions with regard to price, format, and how it will be distributed (calendar, anniversary, track by issue) in place.
  2. Add the Subscription Issues to your Subscription - Once your Subscription has been created, you are ready to create its Issues. You will be able to specify price attributes per Issue, designate if back issues can be ordered, and create Special Issues if desired.
  3. Set up Business Publication Audit (BPA) Tracking Data - If your organization plans to track BPA data for your Subscriptions, make sure that the values you want to track are added and/or set up through Subscriptions Setup. This must be set up before you begin selling your Subscriptions to track correctly.
  4. Manage Subscribers - Once your Subscriptions, Issues, and BPA Tracking are in place, you are ready to begin selling your Subscriptions. Each time you sell a Subscriptions, a Subscriber Profile is automatically generated for you that enables you track such items as Subscriber Name, Issues Fulfilled, and any Claims made on the Subscription.
