Find Expense Type

Find Expense Type

Use Find Expense Type to search for Grant Expense Types already in your database. Grant Expense Type information is stored in the database by the fields completed in the Add - Grant Program Expense Type process.

When using the Find Grant Program Expense Typepage, you search for a desired Expense Type using information stored in the database via these fields. Search results on the List Grant Program Expense Type page display in columns, and each column of search results corresponds to a data field. Only a limited, predefined set of columns pertaining to Grant Expense Types are available to you on the Find Grant Program Expense Type page.

Find

  1. To search for Grant Program Expense Types already in your association's database, go to Modules>Grants>Find Expense Type>More...>Expense Type>Find Expense Type. The Find - Grant Program Expense Type page opens.
  2. For a more specific search, click the Advanced View check box. An Expanded Boolean search option appears for each search criteria field. Use this search option to narrow your search results further.
  3. Click Go. A list of search results displays in the List - Grant Program Expense Type page. If only one result comes of the search, the edit page for that result opens.

Note: The more specific you make search criteria, the narrower the results returned are. A search for an Expense Type beginning with "F" returns more results than a search for an Expense Type beginning with "Full."

Find vs. Query

Most Finds and Queries in NetForum are run in CRM. The Find page is set up with a predefined set of columns (fields) versus a Query which allows you to select from any column in the table.

Tip: If you are not sure what you are looking for, use the NetForum wildcard character, the percent sign (%), to help you with your search. This is especially helpful when used in conjunction with the contains option on the Expense Type field.
