Adding a Matching Gift
A Match Program is an organization's effort to solicit contributions from individuals for a cause. In return, the organization will often match or exceed those contributions to bolster the funds raised. A common example of a Match Program is a corporation offering to match donations of its employees for charitable contributions to raise money for a specific cause.
Before a contribution may be made to a corporate match program, a relationship must exist between the corporation and individual or organization making the contribution. If the individual or organization with the relationship to the corporation makes a qualifying gift, any match programs that have been set up will become available in the match program drop-down menu on the Add - Fundraising Gift page.
