Setting Up System Options
System options are settings that developers and system administrators use to configure NetForum. Only an appointed system administrator with proper user permissions has the authority to modify the system option settings. See System Option for more details on all of the different options.
Changing a System Option Setting:
- Open the Modules Menu and click Admin.
- On the Admin Overview page, click System Options.
- On the Find System Option page, select a module from the Category drop-down list.
- A list of system options displays. Click the Goto arrow next to the system option you would like to modify.
- On the Edit System Option page, review the information in the description text box.
- Select an option from the Type drop-down list. The option selected will mirror the current setting field (leaving this blank will give no values for that system option).
- If you select the TextBox option, a text box will display in the current setting field. Enter the appropriate system data in the text box.
- If you select the DropDownList option, a drop-down list will display in the current setting field. Enter the appropriate system data in the drop-down list.
- If you select the CheckBox option, a check box will display in the current setting field. Select or clear the current setting check box, as appropriate.
- Click Save.
Note: Entering no value in the current setting field will default the system option to the system default.
