Inserting an Image to a Marketing Template Using CKEditor

Users can upload images using CKEditor to include them in a marketing template by providing the image URL in the Html text box on the Add and Edit Correspondence Template form.  Once the image has been uploaded, the user can access the image URL for the newly uploaded image, which can then be inserted into the template's Html body. In addition, users can utilize the Upload Image dropdown field to add images from previous uploads into the HTML body of the template.

Important: Make sure that the Html editor field on the My Preferences form is set with CKEditor option.

To insert an image to a marketing template using CKEditor:

1. Go to the Marketing module.

2. In the Templates group item, select the Add Template group item link. The Add Correspondence Template form displays.

You can insert an image to an existing Correspondence Template through the Edit Correspondence Template form using the Find, List, or Query Correspondence Template group item links under the Templates group item.

3. Update the required fields on the Add Correspondence Template or Edit Correspondence Template form as needed. Refer to the Adding a Correspondence Template article for more information.

4. Click the Add icon on the Upload Image field. You can also select an existing image from the Upload Image dropdown field if already available.

This will display Add Document Upload form.

5. On the Add Document Upload form, click the Upload New link. This will display Add File Upload pop-up.

Note: Make sure to upload the image prior to entering the Document Code, Summary, and Document Description information. If you enter the Document Code, Summary, and Document Description information before uploading the image, then the information entered prior to uploading the image will be lost if they were not already saved.

6. Click the Choose File button on the File Upload field.

7. This will display the File Explorer. Select the image that you wish to insert in the template and click the Open button on the File Explorer.

8. The selected image name will be displayed on the File Upload field.

9. Click the OK button. The uploaded file URL will get listed on the File Name and Url fields of the Add Document Upload form.

10. Enter the desired document code for the uploaded image.

11. Enter the summary for the uploaded image.

12. Enter the document description for the uploaded image.

13. Click the Save button. The URL of the uploaded image will be displayed on the Image Link field.

14. Copy the image URL from the Image Link field.

15. On the Html Body text box, click the Expand icon.png icon beside the Link icon.

16. On the Insert Image Via URL pop-up, paste the image URL and then click the Insert button.

The image will display on the Html Body text box.

17. Once you update all the required details to the correspondence template form click the Save button.

 

To update the image and the related details:

1. Go to the Correspondence Template profile for which you wish to update the image and click the Edit profile menu to expand and the click the Correspondence Template link. The Edit Template form displays.

2. Select the image name from the Upload Image dropdown field and then click the Edit icon on the Upload Image field. The Edit Document Upload form opens.

3. Click the Upload New link to update the image. This will display the Edit File Upload pop-up.

4. Click the Choose File button on the File Upload field.

5. This will display the File Explorer. Select the image that you wish to insert in place of the existing image in the template and click the Open button on the File Explorer.

6. The selected image name will be displayed on the File Upload field.

7. Click the OK button. The uploaded file URL will get listed on the File Name and Url fields of the Edit Document Upload form.

8. Edit the appropriate details in the relevant fields and click Save.
