Enabling Parallel Processing for Membership Renewal Task

The Membership Renewal Task for mass renewals takes a long time for task completion. To improve the task execution for mass renewals, the Membership Renewal Task type has been updated with Parallel Processing which allows the processing of other membership records while waiting for the payment processor to capture payment.

Note: By default, the Parallel Processing task setting is disabled for the Membership Renewal Task.

To enable Parallel Processing for the Membership Renewal Task, complete the following steps:

Important! You must have administrator privileges to perform the following steps.

1. Go to the Admin module and expand the Task Scheduler Type group item.
2. Click the List Task Types group item link.
3. On the List Task Scheduler Type form, search for the ‘Membership Renewal’ process name.
4. Click the Go To icon on the Membership Renewal line item. This will display the Edit Task Type form.
5. On the Edit Task Type form, under the Parallel Processing (If Available For This Task Type) section, complete the following setup:
   • Select the Use Parallel Processing checkbox.
   • Enter ‘10’ in the Minimum Row Count For Parallel Processing field.
   • Enter ‘8’ in the Maximum Number Of Parallel Threads field.

   

6. Click the Save button. This will enable the Parallel Processing for the Membership Renewal Task.
