Use this system option to enable redirects from NetForum.
To allow redirects from NetForum (eWeb only), you must enter the desired destination domains via this system option. This must be enabled for any redirect that takes the user from eWeb.
If the Current Setting field is empty, then no external redirects will be allowed. The default for this option is empty.
Current Setting
The current setting for RedirectWhitelist is used as follows:
Values: This system option can be set to include any valid domains for the redirection. Separate multiple domains with a semicolon.
Note: This functionality was modified from its original implementation in Release 28.4. Please ensure your site is on Release 28.4 or later before configuring this System Option.
Do not include the subdomain in the system option value. Specify only the registered domain name unless the subdomain is a registered domain name. Example: to redirect to sub.domain.com when domain.com is your registered domain, use domain.com for this system option.
When in doubt, you can use one of the free services to get the name of the domain:
Important:
- Do not include protocol name when specifying domain:
-
- Incorrect: https://www.domain.com
- Correct:domain.com
- Do not include full resource path:
-
- Incorrect: www.domain.com/events/event1
- Correct: domain.com
- Whitelist applies only to server redirects. Example: eWeb SSO: redirect on login or logout.
- Whitelist does not apply to client-side redirects. For example, eWeb user configured social profiles for their eWeb profiles. The redirects to social profiles are considered client-side redirects and are not subject to whitelist restrictions.
Default Value: empty
