This option allows you to select what will happen to the linked addresses of an individual if all of that individual's relationships to the organization (to which the linked addresses are linked) are end-dated or soft-deleted or hard-deleted. The default for this option is SoftDelete.
Example: For example, if an individual works at Acme, and has a linked address to Acme, if the individual's relationship to Acme is end-dated, what should happen to that address? In prior releases of netFORUM, a linked address would be hide-disabled. This system option provides two other options.
Tip: A user can see hide-disabled addresses on a new child form added to the Log tab on the Individual profile page.
Current Setting
The current setting for EndDateRelationshipAddressOption is used as follows:
Values: This system option can be set to any one of the following options:
- NoAction—Upon ending all relationships, then any linked addresses to that organization should not be updated at all.
- SoftDelete—Upon ending all relationships, then any linked addresses to that organization should be soft-deleted. As a result, the mailing label on the profile and the address will be blanked out. This is current behavior (as of 2011 SP5).
- OnHold—Upon ending all relationships, will put any linked addresses on hold with an on hold type defined in the system option EndDateRelationshipAddressOptionOnHoldTypeKey. Also sets the on hold flag and sets the on hold start date to be the relationship end date or system date (if relationship is hard/soft deleted).
Default Value: SoftDelete
Fields
This system option includes the following fields:
Description: This field gives the description of the system option, including its use and default value.
Important! Do not modify the following fields after the system option is first created. Changing these fields after they have been used can invalidate existing data.
Category: This field sets the category (usually the module) where the system option is used.
Type: The Type field determines the display type of the Current setting field (check box, drop-down list, or text box).
Values: The values field indicates the allowed values for the Current setting field.
Availability
Each system option includes the following availability settings:
Entity Level Option?: Select this check box to make this system option available on an entity level.
Visible To External Systems?: Select this check box to make this system option available in xWeb.
