Use this system option on client systems to enable or disable an automatic lock on any changes to metadata tables (cm,fw,md) when a record is inserted or updated. The NetForum upgrade tool will not update or remove any rows that are marked as locked. Enabling this Auto Lock feature safeguards against changes being inadvertently overwritten during an upgrade.
Note: This option should be enabled in client databases.
The default for this option is false (cleared check box).
Current Setting
The current setting for AutoLockMetadataChanges is used as follows:
Values: This system option can be set to true (selected check box) or false (cleared check box).
- true— Enable an automatic lock on any changes to metadata tables (cm,fw,md) when a record is inserted or updated. Enabling this Auto Lock feature safeguards against changes being inadvertently overwritten during an upgrade.
- false— Disable an automatic lock on any changes to metadata tables (cm,fw,md) when a record is inserted or updated.
Default Value: false
